The Coeur Blanc Challenge, established in 2008, is a bi-annual ski event in which teams race to ride every lift in the Méribel Valley within a single day. This includes all lifts ranging from kid’s ropes and magic carpets, to chair lifts and button lifts. The route spans 85 kilometres across 8.5 hours of skiing, the equivalent of travelling up and down Mount Everest twice.

Teams are encouraged to take any route they want to navigate all the lifts but must ensure that all lifts are ridden! This means walking along a magic carpet, even if the carpet is not running…
